The Dinosaur Behind the Shed

My brother found a dinosaur Behind the garden shed. He offered it a cabbage leaf. It ate the gate instead. We tried to hide it in the barn, But there it ate the hay. It chewed the washing off the line And scared the hens away. By lunchtime it had swallowed Dad's bicycle and bell. It tasted Granny's gardening hat And ate that up as well. When Mother saw the damage, She didn't shout or cry. She fetched the garden wheelbarrow And looked it in the eye. "You've made a dreadful mess," she said. "Now clean it up. What's more, You mustn't eat another thing!" The dinosaur ate the door.
